Key Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

• Greets customers and provides excellent customer service.
• Serves customers, weighing, packing and affixing price labels to Hot Food purchased.
• Replenishes supplies in display counters and rotates product.
• Assist cooks with various tasks as needed.
• Liaison with other clerks & cooks to ensure smooth and efficient operation of café area.
• Prepare, heat and finish simple food items.
• Clean counters, work areas, trays, dishes, utensils and equipment.
• Make sure working area is clean and adheres to Food Safety Standards and company policies.
• Performs other tasks as required by management to meet business needs.
• Needs to be available to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends.

Job Requirements:

Skills & Knowledge

• Good communication skills and ability to read and write in English.
• Customer service oriented and able to make good decisions.
• Able to work under minimal supervision.
• Able to work in fast-paced environment and have attention to detail.
• Experience working in a Café and/or Hot Foods Kitchen environment considered an asset.
• Experience working in a grocery store considered an asset.

Working Conditions

• Wears protective gear such as gloves and aprons
• Exposure to hot temperatures from oven, fryers and grills
• Exposure to cold temperatures from freezers
• Standing and walking for long periods of time
• Lifts, bends, stoops, twists and turns
